What are you going to do once the thrill is gone?

The driving factor for this phenomenon is the thrill of the unknown. Bigfootology recognizes that this is a major psychological factor in the passion and even obsession that is behind the Bigfoot phenomenon, as well as other cryptiods.

Now consider this, the world is on the brink of knowing what Bigfoot’s, by any other name, are and we come closer every day to the revelation and knowledge that goes beyond speculation and opinion, which is all we have currently. When the revelation occurs and Bigfoot is no longer the mystery, how many people will no longer be interested, how many people will move on because the mystique and wonder is no longer there? For some of us that will be the time for the beginning of new work, like biologists and primatologists who finally will take this phenomenon seriously.

But for the non-professional, Bigfoot will either fade away in interest, or be just another favorite animal (human or not) in the animal kingdom. Bigfootology’s greatest work will happen in the post-revelation world of what Bigfoot is because we are about the science and understanding of the phenomenon, not just the possible passing thrill of what we thought Bigfoot was once to us.

What are you going to do once the mystique is gone?
